My 2nd Mother's Day

with 1 comments
My 2nd Mother's day started out nicely, we ended up strolling down Northbridge looking for a place to eat lunch. All the Chinese restaurants were packed and had snaking queues outside for Yum Cha. We had no expectations when we went to Four Season's Roasting Duck Restaurant because it was tucked away from the main st. Turned out to be the best Yum Cha I've had since we moved here.

Later that day we packed up some grapes, cheese, biscuits and coffee and went to the park reserve 10 mins from our home.

Here is how we started the afternoon..chilling and watching the ducks...
Some kids found a ball in the pond and decided to fish it out to play.
Then Ro decided to herd the ducks...ha ha
And Mitzi had the same idea but I had her make-shift leash on her tightly...(someone forgot her leash)
And this is how we entertained ourselves by making bubs jump-run down the hill squealing in delight.

One of the moments I realise how moving here has benefited our wellbeing. I grew up chasing ducks and swans in a quaint english village park, and it feels fitting that my offspring has a similar opportunity to enjoy his childhood doing something similar.
