Toxic Certainties

with 0 comments
Last Friday I was mucking about on radio talk shows on my iphone and came across one title ' Navigating Multicultarlism' by Wayson Choy on CBS radio.

He gave a sort of biography of his growing up in Canada and the lessons he learnt about multiculturalism and the true meaning of the word Family.

In a gist, he termed 'toxic certainties'. Strong beliefs we bestow upon people/situations/culture/history etc. In a nutshell he elaborated that if you have toxic certainties, fate/karma/gods will strike you and the kingdom you thought was under your control will be altered and changed to the degree of honor killings to the degree of utmost horrors. He advised that we should be flexible against unforeseen circumstances and to remain claim and malleable to changes. Be it the larger society/work/lifestyle and even more so our own personal circumstances.

I think I found another Author to read and admire...
